General Instructions for all volunteers
Encourage attendees to attend the closing raffle at 4:00 in the auditorium
Prizes like TVs, XBoxes, Go-Pros, Amazon Gift Cards, Online learning, and more have been given away in the past (must be present to win)
See a full trash can?
Take the full trash bag to the rear kitchen area or alert an event organizer via Volunteer Slack Channel
Replacement garbage bags are in the kitchen
Clean up spills - paper towels can be found in the kitchen area
Thank vendors and ask if they need help with anything
Registration Desk
Check in pre-registered attendees
Register walk-in attendees
Hand out attendee bags
Direct attendees to sponsors and sessions.
Session Proctor
Support session speaker's presentation needs
Count attendees at the session.
Introduce yourself, tell speaker to start on time. With 5 minutes left, hold up your hand.
At the end of the session, announce that all attendees should fill out an evaluation (QR code provided in room)
Report any technical/classroom problems.
Food and Drink Support
Keep all food service areas clean
Ensure drink ice chests remain stocked
Replacement drinks are in the kitchen
Ice is in the kitchen freezers
Return unused food supplies to the kitchen
Throw away any abandoned trash left undisposed in classrooms, walkways, vendor areas, or atrium
