Summary: Attendees will learn about the core performance topics necessary to troubleshoot SQL Server performance problems, isolate poorly performing queries, and put best practices in place regarding index, statistics maintenance, and much more. In this chalk talk we will discuss the new features and tools that support both SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008.
Bio:Santos Martinez was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico in 1982, To Puertorrican Parents, grew up in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Santos have over 11 years of experience in the IT Industry, He have work on major implementations and support of ConfigMgr and SMS Migrations for Financial Institutions on the US and PR. Santos was Sr ConfigMgr Engineer for Fortune 500 Financial Institution and IT Consultant before joining Microsoft. On Fortune 500 help out on the implementation and support of 200+ ConfigMgr Server and support 165K+ Clients worldwide after this project he continue doing IT Consulting work for many other corporations implementing ConfigMgr. Santos was a former SQL Server MVP from 2005-2009 and then ConfigMgr MVP for 2009-2011 is well known on the Microsoft LATAM Communities as mentor for other MVP’s and for helping other IT Community members. He has also participated in Microsoft Tech Ed and Microsoft MMS as Technical Expert for SMS/ConfigMgr. He is also a former Martial Arts Champion from Puerto Rico and is currently a 4th degree black belt in TaiFu Shoi Karate Do. Santos join Microsoft on Year 2011 as Premier Field Engineer for the US Central Region Santos is also a Co-Author in the new Mastering System Center 2012 Configuration Manager book.
