Speaker Bio: Devlin Liles is a Senior Consultant at Improving Enterprises and a Data Platform Development MVP. Since 2007 he has been presenting on software development practices and tools to audiences around the Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He is a regular regional presenter at user groups and events. He founded an internal Corporate Software Craftsmanship conference in Northwest Arkansas as well as led the Tyson User group for a year and a half. He is an avid soccer player and hobbyist gamer.
Description: In this talk we will have a highly interactive talk about the strengths and shortcomings of Entity Framework and how it fits into the roles of SQL DBAs in modern development. This talk will range from optimizing SQL queries that EF outputs, to testing for performance, and how output all the SQL your application will use. Bring an open mind and your questions. We will use both!
