Topic: Viewing Requests and Sessions with DMV's

Description: View queryable requests and sessions (way better than sp_who2!) and use a sample query to find a not only which session is blocking a session, but which sessions a session is blocking.  Get a comma-delimited list of blocked sessions, then sort by the length of that list, descending.  Find out which session is the culprit for your blocking pileup!

Speaker Bio: William Assaf is the President of the Baton Rouge SQL Server User Group and a senior development consultant and team lead at Sparkhound, Inc. He started off as a .net developer and moved into database administration and architecture, and has been lead db designer on major application and data warehousing projects for private and public clients. An experienced DBA trainer and database developer, he blogs about SQL at sqltact.com, where his sample scripts have been posted.
