Speaker Bio: William Assaf is the President of the Baton Rouge SQL Server User Group and a senior development consultant and team lead at Sparkhound, Inc. He started off as a .net developer and moved into database administration and architecture, and has been lead db designer on major application and data warehousing projects for private and public clients. An experienced DBA trainer and database developer, he blogs about SQL at sqltact.com, where his sample scripts have been posted.

Description: A real-life scenario in which transactional replication was replaced by a custom-coded Change Data Capture (CDC) solution in SQL 2008.

Speaker Bio: Matt Maddox is a DBA for Lamar Advertising.  He got his ISDS degree some LSU in 1996.  Starting as a Visual Basic developer and later a .Net developer he was always heavy into SQL.  He decided to make the move to being a full time SQL Server DBA two years ago for Lamar Advertising where he works on administration and warehousing projects.
