Topic: Implicit Conversions "Performance Killer"

Summary: Implicit conversions are a performance killer that you may not 

even realize you have. The good news is they are easily corrected.

In this quick presentation, we will go over why they happen and 

and how to prevent them.

Bio: Originally from Southern California, I relocated to the state I grew up visiting and enjoy the easier life here.I'm a DBA at Lamar Advertising for the last 10 months after 2 years with an advertising company in Shreveport.Relocating to Louisiana 3 years ago was for a new beginning and something different. I enjoy everything database and some call me "Mr. SQL Saturday".

Bio:

Chrissy LeMaire is a Windows PowerShell MVP and PASS PowerShell Virtual Group co-lead who has worked in IT for over 20 years. Originally from Kaplan, LA [or Lafayette if nobody will know Kaplan], she now works for General Dynamics and serves as the SQL Server DBA at NATO Special Ops HQ in Belgium.

Bio:

Constantine Kokkinos is a technophile, DBA, and all around nice guy. He spends the bulk of his time either performance tuning databases or using PowerShell to automate anything he can. A lifelong love of tech led him to creating a short lived social network startup which kicked off his software career. He moved on to become a Certified Apple Trainer, and is now a self-employed SQL Server consultant.
